About Empty Bowls | The San Antonio Potters Guild, in association with the San Antonio Glass Arts Guild, Alamo Woodturners Association, the UTSASouthwest School of Art, and SAMMinistries presents the annual Empty Bowls fundraiser for SAMMinistries at the UTSASouthwest School of Art Campus. SAMMinistries prevents homelessness in San Antonio through a compassionate, holistic approach that brings self-sufficiency, pride and dignity to struggling families with nowhere else to turn. Guild members produce the handmade bowls sold for a nominal fee. Soup is provided by local restaurants and caterers and served by culinary students and volunteers. Also featured is a silent auction of donated works by artists in a variety of media. |
